Steps to repro:
# Create an input with a refresh frequency of 2m and a manual sourcetype
# After the input runs, set the sourcetype to automatic; note that the sourcetype stays as the previous value
# After the input runs again, set the sourcetype to an item from the list; another manual value; note that the sourcetype stays as the previous original value
# After the input runs again, set the sourcetype to another manual value; note that the sourcetype does change
