h1. Allowing non-admins to make inputs
You can allow non-admins to make inputs by assigning users the "edit_modinput_web_ping" capability. You will likely want to give them the "list_inputs"capability too (if they don't already have it).
You can do this by navigating to "Access Controls" section of Splunk configuration pages and giving the appropriate user role the capabilities under the "Capability" section.
Note that you will need Website Monitoring version 1.2.0 or later for this to work.
