Step 4: Setup Thermostat to Send Data (optional)¶

1. Shutdown any existing connections to the PLM (since it will allow only one connection at a time).
2. Run HouseLinc and connect to the PLM.
3. Register the thermostat with HouseLinc (by pressing the set button and having HouseLinc look for the device)
4. Create an alert in the Houselinc. This is done simply to make sure that HouseLinc sets up the thermostat with the PLM such that all of the events are monitored. You can disable the alert after you create it.
