Description

The Perseus docs sometimes have <pb> nodes which indicate a break in a page. These are not necessary for rendering the document but could be useful for entering spaces to break up the paragraphs.

Turns out that the <pb/> nodes cannot be used to indicate blocks. The problem is that they do not seem to correspond to actual blocks. Consider the following:

a)rxierateu/santos tou= a)delfou= <pb/> *si/mwnos ta)rxiere/ws, kai\ gi/netai pai=s au)tw=| *matqi/as o( *kurto\s

This corresponds to the following which is right in the middle of a sentence:

ἀρχιερατεύσαντος τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ <pb/> Σίμωνος τἀρχιερέως, καὶ γίνεται παῖς αὐτῷ Ματθίας ὁ Κυρτὸς
